IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition Montréal 2010; Workshop: Membrane bioreactor design and life-cycle cost assessme Militaries, corporations and other institutions are known to apply digital game-based learning techniques to prepare decision makers in critical roles where high stakes apply to success or failure. In this workshop participants will use a simpler competitive team-based digital game to learn about decision processes in a complex system such as the design and operation of a wastewater treatment facility. Participants will form teams and compete in a digital game-based life-cycle cost assessment of the finance, design and operation of a membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment facility over a 20-year operating period.
